Sabina and Rui chose Portugal as the perfect location for their destination wedding, inspired by Rui’s Portuguese roots. They dreamed of blending Portuguese and Irish vibes, since Sabina is Irish. And they truly made it happen!
One of the most charming parts of their story is an Irish tradition: placing a saint by the window to ask for good weather on the wedding day. And believe it or not, it worked! When we met for a drink a few months before, it was pouring rain, but on their wedding day, the sun shone beautifully, blessing the entire celebration.
The day was filled with fun, laughter, and Irish cheer, plus a little bit of tension, thanks to a big Benfica game happening at the same time!
At first, they weren’t sure what to do in front of the camera, but soon enough, they completely relaxed and turned into naturals. I even joked that Rui might consider a modeling career! We ended the day with a second photoshoot, a cool editorial-style session with flash lighting and sunglasses. They absolutely nailed it.
